Stella Hacienda - or Celestial Homestead - is a small regional business which hopes to educate people about urban homesteading, sustainable living tips and ideas, the moon planting method, and ways to reconnect with nature and the seasons.

Waxing Moon moving through Capricorn & Aquarius
1 October - 3 October
Now is the best time for sowing and planting Spring root crops (ie carrots, radishes). Make the most of the Aquarius energy by sowing and planting Spring flowers and flowering herbs.
Full Moon in Aries
on 7 October 2025
The determined Aries energy occurs on the 6 & 7 of October. It is an excellent time for complete those renovation, installations, or garden repair tasks. It is also good for the development for crops that consist primarily of leaf or stem (ie. lettuce, celery). It is the most favorable time to fertilize plants using natural fertilizers. It is also a good moment to focus on watering and irrigation - particularly houseplants.

Use this waning moon energy to finish tasks and complete natural fruit crop cycles such as - i) collecting and preserving fruits, and ii) harvesting and freezing fruits. It is also a good time to remove weeds and mow the lawn.
