Nature Connectivity Sessions
The emergence of Nature Therapies since the 1970s has assisted people in reconnecting with nature - and ultimately themselves. These styles of therapies arose in response to nature-disconnected problems: psychological distress caused by contemporary workplace practices and the 'daily-grind'; the rising cost of living in a fast-paced digital world; and a need to escape constant judgement and addiction from social media. With the predicted rise of psychological problems in the population, therapeutic Nature Connectivity Sessions facilitated by certified eco-therapists have proven to be a great asset in aiding recovery from chronic mental illness, depression, anxiety, or P.T.S.D, and assist in general psychological wellbeing.
Nature Connectivity Sessions (NCS) such as - Holistic Integrated Creative Art Therapies (HICAT), Nature Journalling, Forest Bathing, Mindfulness, and Applied Eco-Psychology - combines the essential aspects of Behavioural Science disciplines and amalgamates with the powerful healing effects of nature for self-discovery and recovery. The group therapies are utilised as a mechanism of change by developing, exploring and examining interpersonal relationships within the group. It also assists with personal development such as anger management, mindfulness, relaxation training and social skills training.
